Very cool work environments
We’ve received national recognition for our award-winning office environments. The feeling is relaxed and casual with lots of places for teams to meet and collaborate. The dress code, like the work environment at Merkle is casual. Just about everyone, including the CEO and Merkle senior executives, routinely wear jeans.

Our employees enjoy free on-site coffee bars, sodas and fountain drinks. Some of our office locations have onsite or near site gyms to make workouts easy and free of cost. Our people socialize and share ideas over a game of pool, foosball or Wii. Certain office locations are pet friendly and it’s not unusual to see “Fido” at the office with his best friend.

We work hard and play hard at Merkle and we like to have fun. There are parties, happy hours and social events throughout the year, so there’s always an opportunity to meet someone new and hang out with your team members.

Dream Grants
Is there something you always wanted to do but didn’t have the time or the cash to do it? Merkle employees have big dreams, and once each quarter an individual dream and a team dream are granted. Merkle provides the cash and extra the paid time off to make our employees’ dreams a reality. What kinds of dreams have come true for Merkle employees? How about swimming with sharks, tasting beer at Oktoberfest, volunteering with a world-renowned charity, enjoying a box seat with Dad who lives 3000 miles away, or getting tattooed by a famous tattoo artist? Our Dream Grants have made all of these dreams -- and many more -- come true.

Lots of Recognition and maybe even a new ride!
Recognition for a doing great work is a key part of the Merkle culture and there are plenty of opportunities to not only receive recognition but to recognize colleagues and co-workers for the amazing work they do. Employees are eligible to receive a wide variety of cash awards (some as much as $1,000) in recognition of their accomplishments and the great work they do for our clients. Employees are also able to give each other cash awards for demonstrating the Merkle attributes. Awards are distributed monthly, quarterly and annually at a red carpet awards celebration where the top prize is the Chairman’s award. What does the winner of the Chairman’s Award receive? A two-year paid lease on a brand new BMW!

Mentoring Program - where advice often comes right from the top!
Merkle’s Mentoring Program is one of the ways we help our talented people go further faster. Any employee can become a mentee and our mentors come from all levels of the leadership team, including several of our most senior executives and leaders. In fact, some of our current mentors include our chief financial officer, our chief creative officer and our chief operating officer. Our mentors play the role of sponsor (get that next role), coach (overcome that one thing), guide (where should I go next?), and sounding board (what do you think about this...?). The program runs informally, but once a mentor and mentee are matched, the relationship can last a lifetime.

Merkle University (MU) was founded in the 90s with that goal in mind. Every employee is required to attend or teach classes and this commitment to learning ensures our employees – and Merkle – are well prepared for the future. MU offers a wide variety of classes in just about every discipline.
