MARK A. WENINGER, SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT & CHIEF CREATIVE OFFICER

Mark Weninger is senior vice president and chief creative officer at Merkle. Bringing his clients nearly 20 years of award-winning expertise, Mark built his career by combining the conceptual strengths of brand advertising with the behavior-changing power of one-to-one communications. The result is a nationally-recognized portfolio that spans above- and below-the-line, in established and emerging media alike, for consumer and business audiences.

Before joining Merkle in 2009, Mark was managing partner and chief creative officer at OgilvyOne Worldwide in Minneapolis. Prior to Ogilvy, Mark was executive creative director at Wunderman/Young & Rubicam, New York, and has held the same position with worldwide responsibilities at Carlson Marketing Worldwide, the world’s largest marketing services agency. His early career tenures include Valentine Radford Advertising (Kansas City) and Wyse Advertising (Cleveland).

Earning top honors for his clients and agency teammates in the most prestigious award shows, Mark is a frequent speaker at national gatherings and regularly serves as judge for a variety of international creative competitions. He has been profiled by Advertising Age, and has been named among the Outstanding Practitioners of The Creative Arts.To date, his award-filled portfolio showcases work across the full range of communications channels for dominant brands including British Airways, General Electric, Federal Express, Miles Laboratories, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Continental Airlines, Sprint, AmericaOnline, and other category leaders..
