Merkle, Inc. is seeking a Product Manager with experience Agile methodologies, digital media, big data, and web application development, to join our Product Management team.

Job Description:

Your Opportunity

  • Be part of a team that builds a suite of internal products that work together to empower people-based marketing solutions
  • Provide product management leadership for corporate stakeholders, product stakeholders, customers, end-users, and development teams
  • With the product owner, define and manage the product and its roadmap
  • Understand the ‘why’ behind feature requests; aggregate and articulate those as guiding strategic product opportunities


Your Responsibilities:

  • Own the Agile process; run daily standups, planning meetings, sprints, demos, and retrospectives
  • Elicit product requirements using interviews, workshops, surveys, scenarios, task and workflow analysis
  • Translate requirements into agile epics and user stories, with testable acceptance criteria
  • With the Product Owner, prioritize the backlog and manage the product roadmap based on business value
  • With the lead developer, ensure all stories in the product backlog are estimated
  • Balance support tasks and new feature development
  • Regularly communicate progress to stakeholders in the form of release notes, emails, webcasts, and presentations
  • Occasional travel to other Merkle offices is required

    You Should Definitely Have:

    • 3+ years of Agile experience, specifically running agile projects in software development teams
    • 3+ years of digital media experience and domain knowledge
    • Excellent writing and communication skills, especially describing complex concepts with simple, plain-language examples
    • Ability to shift context quickly and to communicate effectively with vendors, business stakeholders and technical team members
    • Intuition and drive; your passion is your product
    • Tolerance for change
    • A sense of humor
    • An entrepreneurial spirit and a positive attitude
    • Familiarity with cloud-based systems (e.g., AWS) and big data
