Job Description:

LOCATION - Columbia, MD or Austin, TX

Under the leadership of a Senior Manager, you will be assigned to a top tier client to address some of their most significant marketing and business challenges. Daily responsibilities will vary, but you may find yourself:

  • Using SQL to produce data insights, investigate potential data issues, and report on core KPI’s
  • Working with an overseas team to explain new projects, manage regular report deliverables, and ensure client expectations for project outcomes are being met
  • QC’ing regular reports and analyses to ensure error-free deliverables
  • Proactively identifying areas of improvement for the client regarding, among others, attribution methods, market segmentation, churn, targeting models, and report automation
  • Assisting the Predictive Analytics group with modeling tasks in SQL/R/Python
  • Communicating new project pitches to the client that could improve marketing campaign strategy across the digital, email, direct mail, and OBTM channels
  • Communicating regular performance results and addressing any variances with client stakeholders
  • Attending client meetings to gather project requirements and specifications
  • Interacting proactively and effectively with internal groups throughout Merkle
  • Evaluating and improving internal tools and processes
Qualifications:

Qualifications/Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in a quantitative business environment, including strong understanding of relational database and direct marketing concepts
  • 4+ years of programming experience in SQL (R and Python experience is beneficial, but not required)
  • 2+ years of project management experience
  • 2+ years of client communication experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, Master’s preferred (will substitute for 1 year of experience)
  • Excellent communication skills, (English required, Mandarin highly beneficial)
  • Impeccable eye for detail
