This position will be part of Merkle’s audience science capability that implements, executes and drives audience strategy and targeting for multiple Fortune 500 clients, leveraging leading DMP and CDPs. Audience Science is a key competency within Merkle’s Audience Analytics organization. It is helping clients realize the value from their customer data by informing outbound digital media targeting as well as inbound channel personalization. This team is growing rapidly, with clients across Financial Services, CPG, HiTec, Retail and Pharma. Our team members consist of analytics experts (with PhD’s), digital technology gurus and digital media mavens.
What are we looking for?
Develop use case roadmaps, perform platform assessments, and develop data & audience strategy for clients to help set & achieve business goals and ROI through audience management platforms
Lead major DMP/CDP consultative engagements, collaborating with technology & data teams as well as external agencies, to transform our clients to an “audience first” approach to omnichannel targeting
Work with alliance partners to develop integrated solutions across their products and Merkle services. Define a go-to-market approach with alliance partners to drive service revenue growth
Manage a diverse team performing consulting services and analysis to support audits, implementations and ongoing activations through DMP/CDPs
Provide thought leadership around data management, audience platforms, data strategy and people-based marketing
Attend sales meetings, manage pipeline, shape proposals, and support RFP responses for this space
Play an active role in identifying, defining and selling the in-house data management and programmatic marketing value proposition to new and existing clients
Actively contribute to the development of Merkle’s audience analytics offerings, partnerships, and technical assets
Develop thought leadership that helps position Merkle as a leader in the analytics and marketing technology world. Be an avid contributor to POVs and the knowledge exchange
Manage a team performing analyses such as: media analysis, website analytics, customer segmentation, lifetime value analysis and cross channel analysis
Develop testing, targeting and measurement roadmap, and monitor contact strategy, channel and media partner overlap
Exhibit strong analytical, project management, storytelling and communication skills
Conduct custom analyses using data attributes and business knowledge to develop audience based media testing and targeting strategy
8+ years experience in digital analytics preferably at a digital agency
8+ years of work experience in a quantitative business environment
Hands on experience creating insights from using digital data (Ex. DoubleClick, Adobe, SalesForce)
Experience optimization of digital media campaigns (search, display, email) or site optimization using site analytics tools
Experience with DSPs, 3rd party data, ad serving, real-time bidding, and ad exchanges.
Experience with DMPs and CDPs
Significant experience executing solutions within digital media analytics (ex. site analytics, search, display, mobile)
Digital agency, consulting, or ad tech experience required
Education: MBA or graduate degree in quantitative field preferred
Computing Experience: Experience with ad server data or site analytics tools and CRM data
Preferred basic experience with SQL and SAS
Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral presentation skills
Client Management: Ability to manage client expectations, delivery and provide thought leadership
Additional Skills: Strong problem solving and consulting skills; takes initiative
