Job Description:

The center of excellence administrative assistant provides high-level administrative support to company executives by responding to and handling requests that are submitted through the Center of Excellence.  

Respond to expense and travel requests within a 24-hour window

  •  Arrange domestic and international travel including travel itineraries
  • Prepare and submit expense reports
  •  Assist Project/Events Specialist with headquarter events/meetings
  • Backup existing Executive Assistant’s when they are out
  •  Provide Front Desk and Switchboard relief (1hr/day) in the Columbia office
  • Assure discreet handling of all business 
  • Works with moderate degree of supervision
  • Performs complex and varied tasks as needed
  • Solves a range of straightforward problems
  • Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures

The ideal candidate for this position must:

  • Have previous administrative experience (2+ years)
  •  Based out of Columbia, MD office
  • Have well-developed organizational and time management skills
  • Be capable of proactively prioritizing responsibilities and exhibiting leadership skills
  • Have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision; highly motivated
  • Have the ability to multi-task proactively in a fast-paced environment
  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Have intermediate knowledge of Concur
  • Be a team player and participate on virtual admin team
