As a Data Strategy Consultant in the Merkle Transformation Consulting team your role is to help our clients identify and prioritize opportunities for improving their customer experience with data.
You will identify gaps and opportunities through business analysis, uncover needs and requirements for Data Management and Data Activation and translate business needs to technology strategies. Typically with some kind of (Customer) Data Platform at the heart of the architecture.
Your work will be both scoping and delivering data strategies for our clients, while collaborating with our Client Service and Growth teams to sell solutions and services in the data, martech and CDP space. In this pre-sales context, your role will be showcasing how specific technologies would enable the business to drive a far more personal customer journey. Depending on your prior experience and preferences, such technologies might be Adobe Experience Platform, Salesforce CDP or Sitecore/Boxever.
In delivering projects you will typically be working alongside other consultants with expertise in business design, service design, experience design and digital technologies. You will also be exposed to specialists and solution consultants from our Data, Analytics and Martech practices.

We expect you to confidently tick these boxes:
- 5-7 years of working with data and customer experience, either at a consultancy, an agency or client-side.
- A master’s degree in business or technology
- Some level of first-hand experience with customer data/CDP technology
- The ability to engage clients in the opportunity space around Customer Journey planning and Customer Data Platforms
- A desire to push at the frontier of digital experience technology
- Strategic understanding of the customer experience revolution
