Job Description:

As the lead decisioning consultant in Merkle’s Data & Analytics team, your role is to help our clients to implement complex data-driven decisioning solutions across customer experience management (CXM).

You will work on a variety of exciting and challenging client projects, taking the role of subject matter expert & senior lead within data-driven decisioning.  Covering all areas around decisioning and advanced analytics, from predictive modelling and scoring via ML or AI (e.g. churn, propensity, CLV, etc.), value-based segmentation, to simulation & optimization; you will act as the architect in deploying these into relevant business decisions such as next best action (NBA).

Working with and guiding other team members (e.g. data scientists, data engineers, technicians, etc.), you will design and build the end solution, helping to manage the complexity and prioritization of multiple decision options & content, that supports a customer centric 1-2-1 experience.

The ability to communicate decisioning concepts and benefits to multiple stakeholders ranging from Marketing heads and business leads to the operational and technical teams, is essential. The client will need confidence the decision lead knows what they are doing and is an effective leader.

In delivering these projects you will typically be working alongside other consultants and specialists across Merkle, covering Transformation Consulting, MarTech, Content Solutions, Activation to Service & Experience Design. 

Finally, you will support the Data & Analytics practice lead with the execution on the overall goals and plans for the department, taking responsibility for managing and developing processes / offerings relating to “decisioning”, assisting with their commercial deployment with sales support; and contributing to the on-going development of the existing and future team-members.

Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of working with data science / decisioning and customer experience, either in a consultancy, agency, or client-side
  • Depending on your prior experiences and preferences, you have hands-on experience of working with decisioning software (from e.g. Pega, SAS, Sitecore/Boxever, FICO, etc.), or alternatively with operationalising advanced analytics / AI (e.g. MLOps) within business processes
  • Solid background in defining and implementing decisioning in Customer Marketing, Contact Strategy, Campaign Management, CRM or similar 
  • Experience in industry standard project delivery frameworks including Agile
  • Experience in advanced segmentation, adaptive modelling, big data platforms, data modelling, data management / data stewardship 
  • Experience with Marketing technologies (e.g. Salesforce, Adobe) and working with CDP is preferable
