As part of Merkle EMEA we hold the most Adobe Solutions Specialisations of any other global organisation and are one of the largest Google Analytics 360 Sales Partners in the UK.  We are looking to hire a Senior Digital Analytics Practitioner with extensive experience implementing tracking and reporting solutions across either (ideally both) the Google or Adobe analytics platforms.  They will be able to quickly pick up (and potentially add to) our best practices and instantly help us to deliver high-quality work for our clients.

This role gives you responsibility for overseeing the delivery of high-quality analytics projects across your client portfolio and for providing strategic direction to each of those clients.  It will also provide the opportunity to work closely with our key analytics platform partners, drive thought-leadership within the analytics team and help to develop internal processes and more junior colleagues.  The latter of these may be in a direct line management capacity and/or through coaching members of the client teams you lead.

The role is diverse and requires the individual to efficiently prioritise and manage multiple work streams at once, effectively communicate with clients, direct reports and more senior colleagues, and have an ability to continuously self-educate in this dynamic digital marketing space.

Life as a Senior Digital Analytics Practitioner at Merkle

  • Implementation of measurement strategies using tag management tools such as Google Tag Manager, Tealium and Adobe Launch.
  • Supporting A/B testing build work using customer experience optimization tools such as Optimizely, Optimize and VWO.
  • Whilst this role will generally be coordinating more junior talent in the completion of such work, there will be an opportunity for the successful candidate to be hands-on should they wish (and there will likely be times where this will be a necessity).
  • Nurture client relationships and become a trusted extension of their business through ongoing communication and collaboration.
  • ·Propose new work and technologies that will add value to their business.  This will include developing a broad understanding of the different propositions that the Merkle Analytics Practice can offer, as well as the solutions available through the wider Dentsu network.  In particular, the role is expected to collaborate and align with other Merkle departments to prompt synergies and cross-sell.
  • Stay current on industry insights and innovation to improve internal techniques, processes, documentation and quality assurance.  This may include being a primary contact for one or more platform partners, with responsibilities for driving client adoption of beta programs, building our own understanding, and providing feedback to the partner technical teams that helps push their products forward.
  • Further internal responsibilities will include thought-leadership (blogs, whitepapers, events) and input into our go to market strategies.  The latter of these will involve working closely with the Sales, Commercial and Strategy teams to develop and iterate our strategy and sales materials.
  •  Coach and support more junior members of the team, leading internal innovation sessions and other collaboration initiatives to share knowledge and drive engagement and continuous learning.  If desired, this may extend to include line management responsibility for up to three managers or leads (capacity/resource planning, development plans, performance reviews, coaching etc.).
