Christ van Giersbergen is the country leader of Merkle Netherlands, a data-driven, tech-enabled people-based marketing agency. The company comprises 300 people based in Amsterdam, Breda and Rotterdam focused on working with big national and international brands in the telco, retail, automotive, financial services and CPG sectors.
Christ is responsible for leading the integration of all the agencies within Merkle Netherlands into Merkle, to offer clients the full set of people-based marketing capabilities across CRM & Loyalty, Transformation & Customer Strategy, Addressable Advertising, Personal Experiences and Data & Technology.
Christ works with the management teams in The Netherlands to ensure both agencies work closely with industry leading partners such as Adobe, IBM, PEGA, Selligent, Google, Facebook and Salesforce to unlock customer lifetime value and ultimately create competitive advantages for clients.
He has a financial and entrepreneurial background and worked for various Telco companies, run his own recruitment agency for financials and worked on assignments on an interim basis. In September 2019, Christ joined as CFO/COO. As of 2020 he fulfills the position of Country Leader CFO COO.
Merkle Netherlands comprises CRM agency Oxyma, Loyalty company OFS, media agency Oogst, mobile specialist aFrogleap and content agency YourSocial. These were formerly part of Oxyma Group, which was acquired by Merkle in 2017. Oxyma Group was created out of the multi-channel specialist 2organize in 2007 following a management buyout.
