The BMW Service App is a convenient hub for all BMW drivers. Whether you’re at home or on the road, the app gives you instant access to all BMW services.
A car can be a lot of things. It can be an expression of your identity, an instrument to get you from A to B, or a way to get your adrenaline pumping. Whatever your car means to you, it’s important to take good care of it. That’s why BMW approached us to help their customers get the most out of their car.
With the BMW Service App, taking care of your car has never been easier. Here’s what the app will help you do:
- Look up information about your BMW
Add your BMW to the app by entering your license plate. You’ll immediately see an overview of your car’s mechanical details. The app also gives you information about your periodic motor vehicle inspection.
- Make an appointment at your BMW Service Partner
Need an oil check? The app will show you the locations of all Dutch BMW service partners. You can then make an appointment straight away, as the app suggests a service date based on the service partner’s availability. If you need a temporary replacement vehicle, pick a rental car with a single tap.
- Contact all of BMW’s services
Car trouble? You can make a call to BMW’s Mobile Care service right from the app. You’ll also find contact details for BMW service partners, the BMW helpdesk, and BMW Financial Services.
- Finally figure out what those darn dashboard lights mean
With the BMW Service App, you’ll no longer have to worry about strange lights popping up on your dashboard. The app will tell you what each signal means, and what you should do to take care of it.
We started the BMW Service App project with a Product Design Sprint. A Design Sprint is a five-day framework that helps answer critical business questions through rapid prototyping and user testing. Together with our clients, we use Design Sprints to validate concepts at an early stage. This method reduces the risks involved in the rest of the development stages. The insights from our Design Sprint with BMW served as a blueprint for the rest of the app development process.
