Art brings a unique combination of hard-core quantitative analytic skills and database marketing experience to the table. Having spent the past 17 years in the industry, Art comes to Merkle from Verizon Wireless where he led their National Database Marketing team for 10 years. Art’s ability to connect the needs of the Business to the Technology serves the Merkle Health portfolio very well.
Prior to his Marketing Database years, Art spent four years in Private Equity, investing in start-ups and helping to drive business development for young companies in Silicon Valley and Boston, MA. During that time, Art worked for the Corning Innovation Fund, which invested over $80 million in high tech photonic start-ups, and was one of the few successful funds during the financial collapse in 2002.
Before joining Corporate America, Art served in the United States Air Force for six years, where he separated with honors and distinction as a Captain. During his service, Art worked at the USAF Electronic Systems Center at Hanscom AFB. Art designed and deployed Command, Control, Communications, and Intelligence Systems for Coalition Forces supporting US interests overseas. Art also commanded a team of Data Scientists at the Air Education and Training Command at Randolph AFB where he implemented innovative analytic methods to reduce training costs and drive better pilot selection methods.
