Larry Hinz currently serves as Global CFO for Merkle and dentsu's customer experience management (CXM) line of business. He provides senior finance leadership to the global team and is responsible for commercial finance initiatives in the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. Additionally, Larry leads the global M&A efforts for Merkle and regional M&A for DAN Americas. He joined Merkle in June 2017 as Global Head of M&A as well as managing controllership and specialized finance efforts since 2019. During his time with Merkle, he has closed on 15 acquisitions, including Ugam, Digital Pi, 4Cite, Hello World, and DWA, among others.
Larry has served as CFO of several technology/telecommunications companies backed by private equity funds (e.g., Goldman Sachs, Texas Pacific Group, Merril Lynch, among others). He has managed M&A/corporate development initiatives across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. He has also served as President/General Manager of companies based in Argentina, US, and Netherlands. Larry began his career as a Corporate Banker for First Chicago and served the media/communications sector.
He earned an MBA from The University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and a BS degree in Applied Computer Science and Finance from Northern Illinois University. Larry is married and lives in Maryland with his wife and two daughters.
