Steve Donohue

Steve has over twenty-five years of experience in the design and implementation of marketing strategies within the financial services industry.  He takes great pride in building impactful, people-based marketing strategies that drive new client acquisition, build deeper relationships with existing clients, and improve client lifetime value.

Prior to joining Merkle, Steve served in numerous senior-level marketing positions with leading financial services companies.  Steve recently led marketing and client experience efforts at Regions Private Wealth Management.  In addition, he served as marketing strategy leader for Retail Banking while at Regions.

Steve has led marketing strategy development and execution while at Principal Financial Group.  His efforts there focused on the 401(k), mutual fund, life insurance, and banking areas.  Steve  managed the design and implementation of the first marketing analytics function at the company.  He has also worked in key marketing capacities at Wells Fargo and Aviva USA.

Steve received his MBA from Drake University and holds an undergraduate degree in Marketing from the University of Northern Iowa.  He currently resides in Birmingham, Alabama with his wife and three children.
